Available in soothing creams and off - whites limestone is long-lasting, stands up well to exposure, readily available and relatively easy to cut into blocks and slabs or more elaborate carvings. Stalactites and Stalagmites are a natural wonder formed, due to the dripping of mineralized solutions in most cave systems through limestone bedrocks. Limestone is used as a common medium in architecture right from the Great Pyramid of Egypt to the modern day skyscrapers.
